Emergency lighting System upgrade
Work carried out
Following the discovery that the existing emergency lighting control system was failing likely to leave the hospital without a statutory compliant system Compass Complete Solutions were asked to advise what could possibly be done to improve this situation. A visit was made by the Managing Director and Technical Manager to site to survey what controls system and equipment was installed and what could possibly be done to rectify the problem.
Problems faced
After discussions and consideration with several equipment manufacturers, it was agreed that the only option was to install an advanced fully addressable emergency installation, this system would allow full control and compliance would be completed automatically monthly, six-monthly and annually. The compliant system also has remote functions and monitoring 365days a year.
End result
The system has provided compliance with the CRC block of Darent Valley Hospital for their emergency lighting.
